The Wood County Historical Center is pleased to host the Smithsonian traveling exhibit "Journey Stories", August 10th through September 15th at the Wood County Historical Museum, 13660 County Home Road in Bowling Green. The Museum is open Tuesday-Friday, 9:30am - 4:30pm and weekends 1-4pm with extended hours during special events.

Plein Air: Art in the Outdoors, HPD, FINDLAY

From 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Adult artists, from professional to amateur, are welcome to meet monthly to paint or draw in their chosen medium in the company of other artists to hone their skills while finding inspiration in the parks. At the end of the session, artists may share their work, even if it is not completed. Please bring painting or drawing supplies conductive to working location. You may want to bring an easel or support for your work, folding chair, hat, insect repellent, sunscreen and water. Artists may attend or all sessions in the series. (Riverbend Recreation Area, Big Oaks Parking Area)

BASIC MONEY MANAGMENT CLASSES

BASIC MONEY MANAGMENT CLASSES OFFERED BY OSU EXTENSION CAN HELP. THE CALSS WILL BE ON WED., SEPTEMBER 11TH FROM 1PM TO 2:30PM AT THE FAMILY CENTER, 1800 NORTH BLANCHARD ST, ROOM 117, FINDLAY OR WED. SEPT. 25TH FROM 5:30-7 AT THE HANCOCK COUNTY AGRICULTURAL SERVICE CENTER, FINDLAY IN THE CONFERENCE ROOM. THE 90 MINUTE PROGRAM WILL DISCUSS THE WANTS VERSUS NEEDS RECORD KEEPING OPTIONS, STEPS TO DEVELOPING AND MANAGING A BUDGET AND COST SAVINGS TIPS. REGISTRATION FOR THE WORKSHOP IS $10. THE FOSTORIA AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY IS RAFFLING OFF 2 TICKETS FOR THE OHIO STATE PENN STATE FOOTBALL GAME ON OCTOBER 26TH AT OHIO STADIUM IN COLUMBUS. TICKETS ARE $3 EACH OR 2 FOR $5. (PARKING NOT INCLUDED) IN ADDITION, THERE WILL BE TWO OTHER PRIZES. THE SECOND PRIZE WILL BE A 1958 ROSE BOWL PROGRAM (OHIO STATE VS OREGON) THE THIRD PLACE PRIZE IS A COPY OF THE NEW DVD, THE HISTORY OF FOSTORIA, VOLUME 1, WHICH WILL BE RELEASED 9/17. Camp Fire Northwest Ohio Club Registration Who: Boys & girls Pre K - 12th Grade. What: Contact Camp Fire to sign up your child for a club. Camp Fire clubs offer youth an opportunity to build social and life skills in small groups and age appropriate settings. Clubs meet during the school year in various locations throughout Hancock Co.
