Early Migrants at the Lakeshore, Perrysburg

Depart From: W.W. Knight Nature Preserve 29530 White Road, Perrysburg Some of the first representatives of the warbler species arrive at Magee Marsh Wildlife Area in late April. Be there to greet them as they return to their favorite refueling spot before continuing to their nesting grounds. We will travel to Magee Marsh in the Park District bus. Bring a packed lunch to eat. 6TH ANNUAL WALK A MILE IN HER SHOES, FINDLAY

From 10:00AM to 2:00PM

Riverside Park - Online registration is now open to individuals, teams or volunteers. Family Friendly. Men and Boys will walk one mile in high heels to speak out against domestic violence. Women are encouraged to participate as well. The event features awards and prizes, a free kids zone, food vendors, free massage stations and the chance to hang out with Spongebob. Father/Daughter Adventure Day, Lima, ohio

Father/Daughter Adventure Day Who: Elementary girls (K-5th grade) and an adult male role model What: Come and join the fun as we explore the woods, create nature projects, learn outdoor skills, and cook over a fire. Bring your dad or any other adult male role model to spend the day outdoors with you. All girls must register for the 2013-2014 Girl Scout year to attend. 2014 Cabaret

2014 CABARET FEATURES VAN BUREN SHOW CHOIR The Association, the award-winning show choir of Van Buren High School, will present Cabaret 2013 at 7 P.M. Friday and Saturday, April 25th and 26th in the Van Buren High School Auditorium. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for senior citizens/students (K-12). They can be purchased in advance during the following times at the school’s ticket booth: 7:30 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. Monday-Friday, 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday-Thursday the week of the show and one hour before each performance Friday and Saturday evening. All tickets are for reserved seating. Cabaret 2014 is the annual end-of-year celebration and talent showcase of The Association and The Essentials, the award-winning instrumental combo of the show choir. Members of the show choir will present a variety of solo and ensemble music, from Broadway to rock ‘n’ roll and country. The show choir will also perform their competition show, which features “Hallelujah,” “Gone, Gone, Gone,” and “Just Dance, Dance, Dance.” The men perform “Devil with a Blue Dress On” and the women sing ‘I Love Rock and Roll.” The show choir represents the music department, high school and community in performances and competitions throughout the state of Ohio and beyond, and has received numerous awards. The group is under the direction of James Vaughn, Richard Eakin (instrumental combo director), Shane Coe (choreographer) and Linda Schwemley (business and crew manager).
