The Forest VFW will be having an all you can eat fish fry Friday, October 10th from 5-7pm. Donation requested is $8 for adults and children 12 and under is $4 and children under 2 are free. Tickets are available at the door. This is open to the public and carry out is available. All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund. There will be Comedy Night following the fish fry at 8:00. Matt Vanderpool will be featured performer. This is free and open to the public.

The Wood County Historical Museum is pleased to host a nationally-recognized photography exhibit by Christopher Payne called Asylum: "Inside the Closed World of State Mental Hospitals". The exhibit and companion book will be in the new gallery space at the Wood County Historical Museum May 31 - November 16, 2014. An opening reception is planned for Friday, May 30, from 6-8pm, with Payne's remarks and book signing. This event is free and open to the public.
