Bridge Hospice Offering Holiday Memories Workshop

From 5:30PM to 7:30PM

Bridge Hospice Offering Holiday Memories Workshop through Group S.T.A.R. Bridge Hospice’s Group S.T.A.R. (Special Times Always Remembered) will be offering a Holiday Memories program for bereaved children ages 6 through 12. The program allows children to come together with their peers and participate in activities that will help them express their feelings, create lasting memories of their loves one and have fun at the same time. The Holiday Memories program will be offered Monday, November 10 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 S. Main Street in Findlay, and on Thursday, November 20 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Corner Health Care Campus, 1069 Klotz Road in Bowling Green. Dinner will be provided for the children. Family members are encouraged to return at 7:15 p.m. for a candlelight closing ceremony. “The loss of a loved one can be difficult for children as they attempt to make sense of the loss and deal with the changes it creates,” said Jill Gilgenbach, Bridge bereavement coordinator. “Participating in holidays and special events can often intensify their feelings of loss and grief. This program can help them express these feelings with their peers.” RSVP for the Holiday Memories program is required prior to November 3 and can be made by contacting Theresa Scherger, Bridge bereavement coordinator, at 1-800-982-3306 or bridge@bvhealthsystem.org.
