What’s the perfect pet for you? Is it an elephant? Or how about a shark? Time to get silly learning about animals that make good pets and those that don’t. Bring your favorite stuffed animal to join in on the fun Monday, May 18 at Oakwoods Nature Preserve at 10 AM & 1 PM. Wee ones is recommended for ages 3 and under with an adult, but other aged siblings are also welcome to attend. The Oakwoods Nature Preserve, “Doc” Phillips Discovery Center is located at 1400 Oakwoods Lane, off West Sandusky Street, off CR 144, west of Findlay. Hole in One Derby Golf Fundraiser Planned for Awakening Minds Art Findlay, OH- Awakening Minds Art will be hosting a “Hole in One Derby” on Monday, May 18 at 4 p.m. at the Findlay Country Club. Cost to attend is $25 and each participant will have one chance to win a car from Findlay Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. Limited additional tries will be available for $20 at the event. A picnic dinner will be included and a reverse raffle will also take place during the event. Cash bar will be available. Golf clubs will be available. Awakening Minds Art is a 501c3 nonprofit organization providing therapeutic and educational programs to all ages and all abilities through art. The organization offers one-on-one therapeutic painting, art & sensory play, homeschool visual arts classes, a variety of group classes and intergenerational painting programs.
