8th ANNUAL TIFFIN ART FAIR

The Wood County Fair, Bowling Green, Ohio In 2015, the Wood County Agricultural Society is proud to announce the 144th annual Wood County Fair. This historic event is scheduled to take place from August 3-10, 2015 in Bowling Green, Ohio. For eight days every summer over 100,000 people attend the long-standing tradition of the Wood County Fair. This tradition has supported many of the county’s youth and community members by providing exhibitions, education and entertainment that create a sense of pride in our communities, county and state. The fair has helped create lasting memories for countless people and strives to continue making memories for future generations.

Wood County Historical Museum Seeks Personal Colle

Wood County Historical Museum Seeks Personal Collections for New Exhibit The Wood County Historical Museum is seeking applications from the public for a new exhibit: Be Your Own Museum: Our Community’s Collections - a new museum experience where the public can become the curator, expected to open February 1, 2016. This call for submission is open to all Wood County residents, past or present. Applications and details can be found on the museum website at www.woodcountyhistory.org or picked up at the museum Monday – Friday, 10 AM – 4 PM, 13660 County Home Road, Bowling Green. Applications are due by September 1, 2015. This is an application process and not all submissions are guaranteed to be included in the exhibit. The Wood County Historical Society reserves the right to accept on loan an entire collection, a portion, or to deny this collection at any time. If accepted, the Collection Owner will work with the Museum’s Curator to negotiate delivery, presentation, and pick-up of all items. Collections will remain on display from February 1 – December 16, 2016. Local history is personal history, and we hope to see how they tie together. The Wood County Historical Museum strives to share the history of Wood County’s residents, and what better way to examine our past but through the collections of today’s citizens.

SANDUSKY, Ohio – A Night of Comedy at the Sandusky State Theatre brought to you by Fryman Entertainment and sponsored by Barnes Wendling CPAs. The Sandusky State Theatre is pleased to present A Night of Comedy featuring comedian Bill Boronkay and headliner Mark Knope on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 8 PM produced by Fryman Entertainment. After a failed audition with ESPN (a mirror was involved), Bill reevaluated his career and took off in lukewarm pursuit of his true 14th dream, and stand up. Boronkay continues to work in Cleveland TV, hosting the, "High School Sports Insider" on SportsTime Ohio. In 2011, Bill cut back his media work to increase travel and share his less than remarkable life experiences as a never married, middle aged man. For over a quarter-century, Mark Knope has been making people laugh – in clubs, a colleges, casinos – you NAME it! You wanna “bet on a winner?” Bet on Mark Knope! Mark has performed in 45 of these United States – with over 5,000 shows under his belt! He covers his material in a fun and energetic manner – peppering in sound effects, quirky facial expressions and a few celebrity impressions along the way! He never stays on a particular subject too long – he shifts his show’s gears from tattoos to golf … then, on to “dating grandmothers” and breast implants. COMCAST’s Comedy Spotlight on the Road, COMEDY CENTRAL’s Stand-Up, Stand-up, Nightshift on FOX, America’s Funniest People and Comedy at CLUB 54 are all television shows that have featuring Mark over the years. Since 1986, Mark has had the good fortune of working with many HEAVYWEIGHTS, in the standup biz. He’s opened for George Lopez, Kevin James, Harland Williams, Richard Lewis, Bobcat Goldthwaite, Tommy Chong, Bobby Collins, and Tommy Davidson.
